Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 25, 2026

Information we collect

In addition to information you voluntarily provide, we may collect technical metadata such as IP address, browser type, user agent, access timestamps, file size, and job status for security, operational, and diagnostic purposes.

  • Account information (email address) and security metadata (e.g., login timestamps).
  • Operational logs for abuse prevention and reliability (IP address, user agent, timestamps).
  • Files you upload for redaction and the output artifacts we generate for you.

How we use information

Uploaded documents and generated outputs are processed temporarily and automatically deleted after a short retention period. PermanentRedaction does not retain user files for long-term storage.

  • To provide the service (process jobs, generate outputs, and display job history).
  • To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
  • To send service emails (verification, password reset, and job-related notices).

Retention

We retain uploaded source documents and generated outputs for a limited period of time.

Source documents are generally deleted approximately 48 hours after the user’s last action associated with the job to which those documents belong.

Generated outputs may be retained for different periods depending on the user’s plan tier and account settings.

Users may delete uploaded documents and/or generated outputs at any time through their dashboard. Once deleted, content is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Sharing

We may use third-party service providers for infrastructure, storage, and email delivery. These providers process data only as necessary to provide the Service and are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the platform (such as infrastructure and email delivery) and when required by law.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data during transmission and storage.

Files uploaded to the Service and generated outputs are transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to help protect data in transit.

Stored files are hosted on managed cloud infrastructure and protected using industry-standard encryption at rest provided by our storage providers. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized systems required to operate the Service.

While we implement safeguards designed to protect information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. You acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
